Surya Namaskar, better known as Sun Salutation, is one of the ways of honoring the sun. This dynamic asana is, in essence, a humble adoration of the light ans insight of the self, being essential to practice it in a spirit of devotion and with your awareness always turned in toward the heart.
I get a lot of people asking how to start a home practice.
4-5 rounds of sun salutations sandwiched in b/n 3-5 minutes of pranyama (breathing) and a 3-5 min savasana (corpse pose) is a good start :D
Then start throwing in some standing poses and seated or reclining stretches and you got something going!
